How many more????

This is another kit that I purchased from Kerry - 'Cottage on the Hill', as you can see the top is finished and that is as far as I have gone....I think I should count how many of these little things I have tucked away.......

Would love to hear who else has loads of completed tops folded neatly and put away in their cupboards.....waiting for that special occasion..........not sure what it is.........but it will happen.......well thats the excuse I use..........so how may do you have????????....

Peg's Version

Yes another one of those tops completed, but that's all, I really must send it to Betty to be quilted (this one is far too big for me)....I purchased the fabric from Kerry at 'Cottage on the Hill' (this lady has the best range of fabric ever) a couple of years ago....and I have always admired a pattern of Kerry's 'Stargazing with Friends' I think that is the name...but I wanted to make the block a lot smaller, so I adapted the pattern with help from Kerry and this is the finished product....If I had to describe myself and the only thing I could use was colours, this is what I would come up with......This is made from Thimbleberries......

This one is finished....

I have now completed the second quilt..... I have made this from Moda - Mistletoe Manor - charm pack - once again very simple, I have added a small pepper and a boarder...I just love the spot, spots and stripes just add so much to a quilt......

Waiting for a frame...

I also finished this little stitchery last year...once again it was a gift in a swap...already traced onto the fabric, and the threads were included, Carol was the giver.....(her tracing is fantastic)...my son Josh has promised to make me a couple of frames next week, well maybe I better not say promised, how about indicated....

Gift for Teen

I received these fabrics from Z & S earlier this week...Our group "Club Quilt" met today so I thought this was a good time to start a quilt for my son Josh's girlfriend, Teen. her favourite colour is black, so why not a black and white quilt...

Harrison Rose

Peppertree Lane Productions - "Harrison Rose" Quilt....I purchased this kit several years ago at a Craft Show in Sydney, and I completed the top last year the design in the middle is appliqued, button hole stitch...the only thing I still need to do is on the middle cream boarder, there is a stitchery all around...the cream is osnaburg and it stretches so much and I am not sure I want to do battle with it....so I think I may complete the quilt as is...

Gardener I am not....

One would not call me a gardener...but I do have a passion for plants and pots.....this is one of my favourite...my son Josh gave the plant to me several years ago for my birthday....we call it a 'black boy' I am not sure of its correct name, we have placed him partially under our patio and have never moved him except for when we re-potted him - the lovely pot was given to my by our special friends the Jacos a few year ago - but our black boy is just so happy in this spot, I thought they grew very slowly but not this fellow...

Oh Dear...

Look what I have found tucked away in a cupboard....Ella & Skysie Designs.....Seed Packet...I started this a few years ago....not sure what happened, why did I not finish this project, you know how it is....I have been doing a bit of sorting out and came across a little pink bag and inside I found, some completed ones and the rest I have even traced on the designs, I generally know what I have as UFO's but I must admit I did totally forget about these..

A little bit of redwork

Last year when we went on our Ridgecrest Retreat, Ros organized a lot of activities for us, which consisted of swaps, giveaways and such, it was a lot of fun....in one particular swap we had to draw a stitchery ready for someone to stitch...I was lucky to receive this lovely one from Leanne, which I decided to do in redwork......I found it the other day, tucked away in the 'to do pile', and I remember talking to Leanne before we went to Ridgecrest and she said that she actually got up at 5am one morning to draw the stitchery, I felt guilty, I thought if someone can get up at that time to participate in a swap I should do the stitchery, so here it is all finished...thankyou so much Leanne I really enjoyed doing this.

Great buys on sale...

I received this today...some fabric that I purchased on sale a Z & S Fabrics...great place to buy backing for quilts...I picked up 4 yards of each of these fabrics for $3.89 US per yard, the Aussie dollar is quite good at the moment ....so it works out very cheap....and just too good an offer...

Wacko....

Well what a lovely day I have had I was given an award today by Christine ...'Make My Day Award'....I feel very honoured...thankyou...now I need to spend some time deciding whom I can send this award onto....as most blogs that I read and there are a few are all so inspiring....and as well as this I also received a gift in the mail from my secret Santa swap ...that is the one who received by gift....Doe ....so I need to take some photos so I can share these treats with you.....Doe thank you so very much.....
But.....
I have found another old quilt.....it is amazing how our tastes change over the years, from when you first start to quilt....maybe it is not your taste maybe it is confidence that you acquire as you develop into .....well....not sure.....but it sure does change....
